STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WAOW) – A piece of Broadway, and one of its stars, is taking to the stage in Portage County.
Joel Goodness is a native of Wisconsin Rapids, and in 1992 he played on Broadway in the theatrical debut of Crazy for You.
Now, three decades later, Goodness and the Central Wisconsin Area Community Theater are bringing the show to Stevens Point.
Goodness says its something he couldn’t be more excited about.
“I get excited watching the people playing the roles, different characters, and remembering: ‘Oh, I remember so-and-so and did this one, that one,” he recalled fondly. “And it brings back a lot of memories and I think everyone who comes to see the show is going to love it.”
His advice for anyone looking to get into theatre: It’s never too delayed to start.
Crazy for You runs October 27-November 4th at the Sentry Theater.
