Walleyes from Green Bay “tribes” are being attacked by poachers this spring

The Wisconsin DNR and Conservation Congress may soon hear calls from fishermen to either close Green Bay tributaries to fishing during the spawning season or allow only catch-and-release fishing during that time. That’s because law-abiding anglers are tired of seeing the growing number of river robbers breaking bag limits, hooking and night fishing with impunity, running to their vehicles with arms full of substantial walleye. Only to come back for more.
