The good news, however, is that Garrett Mitchell started his rehabilitation and shined in his first match.
Garrett Mitchell has begun rehab after breaking his finger during spring training.
Late in spring training, Garrett Mitchell suffered a broken finger. He was immobilized in a splint that was longer than expected. As a result, on Monday, June 11, he began rehabilitation from injury for the first time with the Arizona Complex League team.
The ACL Milwaukee Brewers lost a wild game 17-16 in Garrett Mitchell’s first game back.
There was no shortage of attacks and opportunities during Garrett Mitchell’s first rehab game. The former 20th overall pick made five appearances, recording two hits, collecting three strikeouts and walking once.

When might Garrett Mitchell be ready to return to the Milwaukee Brewers?
Players who begin rehab in Arizona typically go through a phase of playing there and then in Triple-A. It’s unclear how many at-bats Mitchell will have to prepare, but MLB.com his expected return date is June 17. Time will tell if this happens, but it’s a protected bet that it will be ready at some point in June.
