The MSO holds nothing back in its epic season finale. Augustin Hadelich – undoubtedly one of the greatest contemporary violinists – joins the MSO to perform Tchaikovsky’s timeless Violin Concerto. Sibelius’s last symphony combines all its sublime majesty into one astonishing movement that seems to bend time to its will. The grand finale opens with a masterpiece by Ukrainian composer Boris Lyatoshynsky; his symphonic poem Grazyhna follows the brave heroine into battle and will not rest until she has tasted victory.
