Often times, playing skill positions can be complex due to the number of players you have to compete with in that position. However, in the case of the 2026 quarterback Jarin MockaDifferentiating yourself from other players has never been a gigantic problem. Mock, an Ohio native, already has offers from the Wisconsin football program, Marshall AND Central MichiganWith Kentucky AND Ohio State also shows interest.

There are currently no 2026 recruiting rankings available, but if there were, Mock would likely be one of the top quarterbacks in his class. Mock admitted the recruiting process wasn’t straightforward, but said he would “…stay calm and humble while showing interest and gathering information from various coaches.”

The point guard was then asked what he believes sets him apart from other point guards in the 2026 recruiting class. Mock put it simply and stated: “I can make any throw on the field. My package is not complete, but I can throw any route.”

While Mock admits he still has a lot of work to do, he feels he can confidently make any throw he needs to. With the talent Mock can provide, many college programs will emerge.

While some recruits maintain the same intense energy they have on the pitch even when they are off it, Mock is quite the opposite. Looking through photos of Mock competing in both football and basketball shows a elated kid with a gigantic smile. In fact, it can be complex to find a photo in which Mock doesn’t seem elated to be where he is.

The quarterback appreciates his great attitude and attributes much of his attitude and success to his father. Mock went on to state, “My dad was my shadow in everything. I used to follow him and my older brother to practices and training for starters.” The point guard also stated that he was taught to live by one of the phrases: “Work hard and be nice to everyone.”

While Mock is also grateful to his coaches and staff for getting him to this point, he feels he couldn’t have accomplished it without his father’s guidance.

Could the Wisconsin Badgers football staff mock in the future?

For Mock, college football won’t be the next stop in his football career because he feels he has the skills to make it to the pros. Mock said he shares his interest in Wisconsin, as the Badgers staff is very interested in the recruit. However, Mock also admitted that his ultimate goal is the NFL and any program that offers the best chance of doing so will likely become his target.

When asked where he sees himself after college football, Mock stated, “NFL. If it’s not there, I’ll prepare in a different way, using what I know to get there. Whether it’s with the Wisconsin football program or not, Mock is determined to make his way to the NFL.
