This Milwaukee Breweries have battled injuries to their pitching staff all season long. Players like Brandon Woodruff, Wade Miley and Robert Gasser are not expected to return this season, but DL Hall, JB Bukauskas, Joe Ross, Jared Koenig, Enoli Paredes and Devin Williams are all at various stages of recovery from injuries.
The team recently announced that one Brewers pitcher is expected to return to the team soon, while another will begin rehabilitation.
Milwaukee Brewers player DL Hall will soon return to the team.
According to Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, DL Hall last started rehab on July 4. His last appearance with the Nashville Sounds was cut brief by a rain delay, but he finished it with stats of 3.0 innings pitched, three hits, three runs, zero earned runs, three walks, two strikeouts, and 61 balls thrown. Hogg also indicated that his role upon returning to the substantial leagues is still unknown.
Which Milwaukee Brewers player is at risk of losing his roster spot if DL Hall returns?
DL Hall is currently on the 60-day IL, meaning he does not count toward the 40-man roster. Once activated, roster moves will need to be made so that Milwaukee does not have more than 40 players on their 40-man roster. Recently added Rob Zastryzny may be the player most at risk of losing a roster spot to DL Hall.
Joe Ross is scheduled to play in a minor league rehabilitation game against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers social media team on X posted that Joe Ross will be joining them on July 6 as part of his injury recovery. A back issue has sidelined him since mid-May. MLB.com reports that Joe Ross is not expected to return until slow July at the earliest.
