Sections Uniform Numbers Retired by Green Bay Packers

The following numbers are unofficially retired, meaning they are never worn or are rarely worn, despite not being displayed as retired at Lambeau Field:

No. 1: The Packers named their field after founder Curly Lambeau, paying him the ultimate tribute. The number 1 had not been worn since Lambeau in 1926.

No. 5: Hall of Famer Paul Hornung’s number. Only a handful of players have worn it in-game since Hornung in 1966, and none since 1988.
