Outdoor Insights: 2023 Was a Year of Huge Change for Environmental Organizations

The past year has seen major changes in U.S. conservation leadership, with groups like Pheasants Forever and Backcountry Hunters and Anglers. Add the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership to the list. The organization’s longtime CEO, Whit Fosburgh, left the group earlier this month.
Less extroverted and perhaps more shy than other environmental chiefs, Fosburgh has quietly enjoyed success in natural resources in Washington for 30 years.
