“We sincerely appreciate the leadership of Congresswoman Fischbach, Congressman Thompson and Congressman LaMalfa in investing in tools that can significantly increase duck production,” said Dr. Scott Petrie, CEO of Delta Waterfowl. “Duck science has shown that nesting success is often well below desirable levels on the prairies, and nesting habitat limits production in California.”

Delta maintains that research has shown that nest structures in hen houses are cost-effective and enhance the chances of successful mallard nesting because they keep the female and her eggs out of the reach of mammalian predators.
