The Green Bay Packers veterans reported to training camp on Sunday. The Packers placed three players on the injury-free list on reporting day: quarterback Jayden Reed, defensive end Corey Ballentine and offensive lineman Caleb Jones.
Reed led the team in receptions last year. Ballentine started games at cornerback and Jones spent time on the 53-man roster.
The most significant player on the roster is undoubtedly Reed, one of the most vigorous playmakers on offense. the source told Bill Huber of SI that Reed is feeling “completely fine” and will likely return to training this week.
The non-football injury list includes players who sustained injuries outside of training or the team facility, suggesting that Reed, Ballentine and Jones sustained injuries between the end of the pre-season in June and the start of the season on Sunday.
Packers training camp practices will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m.
A player can be removed from the non-football injured list at any time.
Rookie safety Kitan Oladapo was placed on the non-football injured list after reporting to camp last week. He is recovering from a toe injury that required surgery during the pre-draft process.
