Deer bait business booms in Wisconsin amid spread of chronic wasting disease

Attracting and feeding deer is illegal in 59 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties, so retired wildlife professor Scott Craven found it odd when he saw 50-pound bags of “deer corn” stacked on a pallet Dec. 7 while holiday shopping at a huge Madison retailer.
