MPAC and Milwaukee Downtown announce five nights of free live music as part of Rainbow Summer: HIGHLIGHT featuring Elysian Arcs, July 23-27.
Tuesday-Friday performances will begin at 7:00 PM; Saturday performance will begin at 6:30 PM. Additional evening activities include a bubble party hosted by Michelle Hackett from 5:30-7:30 PM and local food trucks and beverages from Sazama’s Fine Catering beginning at 4:30 PM. Each morning, a rainbow piano will be set up outside (weather permitting) to invite community members to play and create their own music.
Tuesday, July 23, 103.7 KISS-FM DZ morning show co-hosts will broadcast live from the Outdoor Grounds from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, The Robert Randolph Band. This partnership marks the second date of the inaugural The Summer of Soul: Outdoor Marketplace & Concert Series and is co-presented by MPAC and Culture x Design. On Thursday evening, Mercadera Market, a Latina-owned market that supports female entrepreneurs, will open on the grounds at 4:00 p.m. Family Day sponsored by Children’s Wisconsin will be held Saturday, July 27 and will include a Kid Boogie Down Dance Party with DJ Letewarm from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. along with Spin Art by MKE and face painting, with an interactive bubble station starting at 4:00 p.m.
All events are free and open to the public and will take place at the same time as the public art exhibition “Elysian Arcs” by Atelier Sisu.
