Family-owned hunting camp in Wisconsin has a 50-year tradition

Over the past 50 years, the Welke family hunting camp has moved from the scrub oaks of northern Marinette County, Wisconsin, to the majestic oaks of north-central Crawford County.

Somewhere along the way, Carl and Kurt Welke traded in their lever-action Winchester 94 rifles for slide-action Model 70 rifles. They still wear the wool while deer hunting, playing cricket, and processing venison each November.
