Wisconsin Football Scouting 2026 Arizona Native Athlete Niko Jandreau
This Wisconsin Football staff has recently found success recruiting in the state of Arizona thanks to the huge commitment of Logan Powell. With the 2026 recruiting class, Wisconsin is hoping to repeat its success and has scoured nearly the entire state. Among the recruits they have scouted and shown interest in is 2026 athlete. Niko Jandreau.
Jandreau is officially listed as a safety, but the recruit also has experience playing nickel cornerback and outside linebacker. Jandreau will likely be considered an athlete because his game isn’t circumscribed to one position.
The athlete states that State of Arizona, Arizona, State of IowaAND State of Colorado were in closest contact early on. The Wisconsin football staff has not yet reached out to Jandreau, but the recruit has received mail and texts from the Badgers recruiting staff.
Niko Jandreau: “Competition is something I really take into account”
Jandreau believes that certain factors outweigh others when thinking about what his future residence hall should look like. When asked what he looks for in a college, Jandreau responded, “I think the culture definitely defines the program, and I would like to be a part of a place that promotes winning and excellence.”
As larger schools contacted Jandreau, the learning process continued as he began to learn more about the schools he was interviewing. When asked about his thoughts on Wisconsin after their interest, Jandreau stated, “I know they’re in the Big Ten, so the competition is something I really consider. They seem like a tough football team with a good culture, so I’m excited to see where it goes.”
Jandreau also added that “it’s nice to know I could be on their board,” speaking about the interest Wisconsin has shown.
What the Wisconsin Badgers football staff and other programs see in Jandreau
Jandreau really stood out on film, which could translate to success for the Wisconsin football staff and other programs.
Playing as a defensive back or deep safety, Jandreau reads the field well and has excellent vision when it comes to check-down routes. The player stops offensive players and often separates receivers from the ball. Jandreau may have the frame of a safety at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, but the athlete has the explosive power of a power linebacker.
Jandreau’s versatility sets him apart from other second-line recruits due to his combination of strength and athleticism. Jandreau has the speed, cutting ability, and leaping ability to keep up with almost any receiver thrown to him.
