This Milwaukee Breweries and the Miami Marlins made some lineup changes ahead of the second of a three-game series against each other. Miami made a spectacular trade, sending Jazz Chisholm to the New York Yankees, while the Brewers placed one of their most reliable relievers on the 15-day injured list.
The Milwaukee Brewers’ reliable reliever has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a strained oblique muscle.
On the injured list is 27-year-old rookie left-hander Bryan Hudson. Hudson has been a pleasant surprise for Milwaukee this year after being acquired in the offseason from the Los Angeles Dodgers. This year, he has a 1.60 ERA in 35 appearances, 16 of which have been multi-inning outings. His time between appearances has been increasing recently, and he is now officially on the IL (retroactive to July 24).
Bryan Hudson will undergo an MRI of his shoulder.
Per Dominic Cotroneo, Bryan Hudson is undergoing an MRI scan to assess the severity of the injury and determine a timetable for his return. Cotroneo notes that there is hope he will pitch again in the 2024 regular season, but they want to wait until imaging is complete to determine that.
LHP Tyler Jay was activated as a result of the Milwaukee Brewers placing Bryan Hudson on the injured list.
Tyler Jay, 30, who was just acquired in a trade with the New York Mets, was activated as a result of Bryan Hudson landing on the IL. Milwaukee traded away TJ Shook to acquire him. Jay made his MLB debut this year and gave up four runs in 4.2 innings pitched with the Mets.
