Sadly, Kevin Garnett never got to play for the Milwaukee Bucks during his illustrious NBA Hall of Fame career. However, that didn’t stop the 15-time All-Star from joining forces with the Bucks to bring his own brand of basketball to Milwaukee.
No, Garnett isn’t returning to the NBA. What the 48-year-old is doing is bringing his 3×3 league to town.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Kevin Garnett to Rebound in Wisconsin
Garnett recently announced on the Bucks’ official Twitter account that he intends to make Milwaukee the next stop on his 3×3 tour.
“I’m coming to the Deer District from August 16th to 18th,” he said. “… We’re bringing Hoop It Up to Milwaukee. I’m working with the Bucks to bring some 3-on-3 action. We’ve got a full tour. It’s going to be intense.”

According to its website, Hoop It Up is “recognized as the most productive grassroots basketball route in the world with multiple millions of participants in a single city event.” The league was founded in 1989 and is currently owned and operated by Garnett’s Big Ticket Sports.
The league offers multiple brackets for men, women and children. Hoop It Up also claims the program is “for all ages and abilities.”
Garnett, a former NBA champion with the Boston Celtics, is a 15-time All-Star and nine-time All-NBA big man. He won MVP honors in 2004 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2008. Garnett was also named part of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
