Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Olympic dreams took a major hit Tuesday when the Milwaukee Bucks star failed to lead Greece to a victory over Spain. The Greeks are now 0-2 and their hopes of advancing to the next round of the tournament have taken a significant hit.
Whatever the case, Giannis has no intention of waving the white flag.

Antetokounmpo turned to X, formerly Twitter, after failing to qualify for the Olympics for the second consecutive year.

It was a straightforward message from the Bucks talisman, but it was a clear signal that he would fight until the end. After all, there is no room for resignation in this man.
Greece’s loss on Tuesday follows a loss to Canada in their opening match. Mathematically, Giannis and company still have a chance of advancing to the knockout stage by beating Australia in their third and final group game. However, their qualification will also depend largely on the outcome of Canada’s match with Spain, so that will be largely out of Greece’s control.
Either way, expect Antetokounmpo to give his all in Friday’s must-win match against Australia.
