The Wisconsin football coaching staff has scheduled a guest recruit from the class of 2026 to visit the upcoming game against South Dakota this season.
Wisconsin has changed both of its South Dakota AND Alabama home games in recruiting warm spots this upcoming season with plenty of guests. Among the scheduled guests for the South Dakota game is 2026 offensive lineman in the state Gavin Meier. Meier is a power forward who is still trying to get a scholarship from the Badgers, but the team has given him a lot of attention.
Wisconsin Football Staff Books Visit With 2026 Class of 2026 Offensive Quarterback Gavin Meier
The Wisconsin football staff has secured another guest for this season’s upcoming clash with South Dakota, this time from the 2026 recruiting class. The offensive lineman in the state Gavin Meier plans to visit the Badgers during the game and enjoy the game to the fullest.
Meier currently has one scholarship offer Northern Illinoisbut he has been working on getting bigger offers. The Wisconsin football staff has been closely monitoring the offensive lineman and believes he could be a great college player in the future. With more time and development off the field, Meier could certainly move up to a position where he could receive a scholarship offer from the Badgers.

For Meier, much of the visit is about excitement, as he gets to see the next level of football up close and personal. Because Meier was invited as a recruit, rather than just a fan, the offensive lineman will get to really get a feel for the atmosphere on the field in Madison.
When asked about the visit and his thoughts, Meier stated, “I’m really excited to see the next level really up close.” The attacking player also added, “I’m also really excited to see what the atmosphere is like in the team live.”

While Meier is very excited about the visit, the offensive lineman also hasn’t forgotten why he’s attending the game. When asked how he plans to watch the game, Meier stated, “It’s really important to always take that into account, but I also expect success from not only the offensive line, but the entire team.”
Meier is there to have fun and enjoy watching college football up close, but he also plans to pay attention to different aspects of the game and the team. Meier said, “I always pay attention to the culture, both on and off the field, because I think culture is very important in a program.” The offensive playmaker also wants to see how the team comes together and how they connect during the game.
