Sections Former Packers Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage reunite with Jaguars

Former Green Bay Packers defensive end Adrian Amos signed a contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday, rejoining former Packers defensive end Darnell Savage in the AFC South.

Amos and Savage were teammates for four seasons (2019-22) with the Packers. Amos was a prized free agent signing with Brian Gutekunst in March 2019; Savage arrived a month later as a 2019 first-round draft pick.

At times, Amos and Savage looked like one of the best safety duos in the NFL. But Savage never really took off, and Amos was increasingly ineffective after three solid seasons early in his Packers career.

Amos appeared in 66 regular-season games and five playoff games for the Packers, while Savage appeared in 69 regular-season games and seven playoff games over five seasons in Green Bay,

The Packers released Amos after the 2022 season. Savage signed with the Jaguars as a free agent earlier this year.

Amos, drafted by the Chicago Bears in 2015, played for the New York Jets and Houston Texans last season, playing nearly 400 combined snaps in 16 games.

The Packers will face the Jaguars in the 2024 season. Matt LaFleur’s team will travel to Jacksonville to play the Jaguars on October 27.

Savage wears number 6 for the Jaguars. Amos has been assigned number 34.
