Every day, it seems like the rookie safety is making plays on the practice field. Well, now he’s doing it in the game. Williams continued his training camp streak by forcing a fumble early in the second half of his first preseason game. He deflected the ball off quarterback John Kelly Jr., which led to a fumble recovery by linebacker Kristian Welch. The fumble play set up a 35-yard field goal for Green Bay kicker Greg Joseph for a 17-3 lead. In addition to the forced fumble, Williams led the team with six solo tackles. Williams should have no problem getting on the field in the regular season if he continues to have this kind of impact.
