Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is currently halfway around the world to compete for Greece at the Olympic Games in Paris. This is undoubtedly the highlight of the former MVP-winning team’s summer as he hopes to lead his team to a sturdy podium push at the most prestigious international tournament.
The Bucks are also ready to support their cornerstone star, as evidenced by the fact that head coach Doc Rivers and general manager Jon Horst flew all the way to France to watch Giannis play live on Saturday against a powerful Canadian team.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Doc Rivers, Jon Horst Fly to Paris to Support Giannis Antetokounmpo
It was Giannis’ mother, Veronica Antetokounmpo, who shared a photo of herself with Rivers and Horst in the stands during Greece’s game against Canada on Saturday, all three smiling as they watched Giannis put on a show against the Canadians.

Unfortunately, despite Antetokounmpo’s tremendous effort, the Greeks still lost their first Olympic game 86-79. Even Giannis’ game-high 34 points weren’t enough to lend a hand Greece beat the likes of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (21 points, seven assists) and RJ Barrett (23 points, four rebounds), to name a few.
Giannis and company will be looking to quickly bounce back from that defeat when they face Spain on Monday in the second of three first-round matches.
