The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board (NRB), with four up-to-date members, approved the DNR’s 2023 wolf management plan after hearing from 46 citizens and receiving written comments from hundreds of others.
The controversy surrounding the plan was evident with dozens of people speaking for and against it. Corky Meyer of Kewaskum summed it up this way during the public testimony period: “The plan is like a jewel—it has many facets and everyone has their own perspective.”
