The Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos will share the fields for a one-day joint practice on Friday.
Coach Matt LaFleur plans to apply Friday’s practice as an opportunity to get hands-on experience with his team’s starters and veterans who are expected to miss Sunday’s preseason game.
The practice is the 16th of training camp for the Packers. On Sunday, the Packers and Broncos will face off in the second of three preseason games for both teams.

Some good plays from Josh Jacobs:
Josh Jacobs threw two good runs to start the team period against the Broncos defense. In the third, Broncos DE Zach Allen picked off Jacobs on the LOS. Good catch. He held him to a 1-yard gain.

You can’t hit a quarterback! (Especially a $220 million quarterback in a red uniform!)
We have our first little brawl involving Adam Stenavich and Matt LaFleur.
Nik Bonitto hit Love in the arm on a throw. The ball popped out and Singleton caught it.
The Packers weren’t joyful about their quarterback being cut.

Schneidman has 11 out of 11 scores:
Some notes from the first third of 11 on 11:
• Jacobs would likely get a massive run to the right side in the second outing
• Love hit Wicks for a nice gain on the right side on his first pass
• Clifford’s massive pass to Heath was thwarted by a false start
• Love hit Musgrave’s open goal with a cross

An unusual sequence for long snapper Matt Orzech, the only long snapper on the roster:
Matt Orzech had to be pulled away from a brawl-initiating play during kicking drills, then on the next play he lofted the ball over Daniel Whelan’s head and out of the end zone.

Struggles in the red zone:
More red zone. After 2 more runs by Jacobs — he was a workhorse for #Packers today — Broncos’ McMillan breaks up a throw for Reed on the goal line. Then finally the breakthrough when a flare pass play to Musgrave finds open space for a run to the pylon.

Packers No. 1 offense struggles slow in game:
#Packers gain 1 yard over a Broncos defender in a 2-minute drill.
1-10: Jordan Love pass up the right side to Josh Jacobs, 1 yard.
2-9: Love for Romeo Doubs omitted, Riley Moss PBU.
3-9: Love to Jayden Reed down the middle, open but wide.
4-9: Love to Doubs right away, Pat Surtain II PBU.— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) August 16, 2024
Sean Clifford is intercepted:
After three missed interceptions between 1s and 2s in the second, the Broncos finally get one. Clifford throws the ball deep up the middle to Stanley on third-and-9, and Reese Taylor intercepts it.

Sounds like a humbling day at the office for the Packers offense in Denver:
The Packers’ No. 1 offense got another chance in the two-minute span, and it didn’t go much better. Three more passes to Musgrave (twice) and Doubs, but a sack and an incompletion resulted in another turnover on downs.
