For years I swore I would never exploit ladders when deer hunting. I simply believed they were too vast and too noticeable to get most deer close enough for a bow shot.
I felt I had to sit on an ultra-small, compact hanging platform to effectively approach the more mature, wary whitetails. This thought kept me from using any kind of ladder stand on most of my previous deer hunts. This thought is also wrong, upon further examination. A few things made me eat my words and try ladder stands.
