The Milwaukee Brewers have recently promoted prospects. Here are 5 more who could soon be promoted:

With the recent promotions of Jacob Misiorowski to AAA and Cooper Pratt to High-A, two of the Milwaukee Brewers’ top prospects were promoted last week. A few days later, Craig Yoho was promoted to AAA, quickly climbing the rankings. Outfielder Carlos Rodriguez was also promoted to Nashville, and it was just announced that Logan Henderson will also be promoted to Nashville.

Misiorowski will likely be called up to Milwaukee soon as another weapon from the Brewers bullpen. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Yoho, who’s been grubby all year at every level.

Who else could rise to the top of the Brewers system, who else might have a chance to make the cut? (I have to get this out there quickly because one of the candidates I mentioned here was Henderson):

Hicklen Brewer

Hicklen has gone a scarce 20-40 with 21 homeruns and 42 stolen bases in Nashville this season. The problem is the crowded outfield at the major league level is blocking Hicklen. While Hicklen has a decent number of strikeouts, he has produced 42 extra-base hits in 376 at-bats. He also has 36 stolen bases, slashing .247/.364/.484 with an .848 OPS. Hicklen would have a good chance of being called up if not for Jackson Chourio, Christian Yelich (injured), Sal Frelick, Black Perkins and Garrett Mitchell ahead of him in Milwaukee. Since all but Chourio are left-handed or ambidextrous, Hicklen could get a chance against a lefty in September. The Brewers added Hicklen, 28, to the 40-man roster in July, which increases his chances.

Shane Smith

Smith is a 6-foot-3, 215-pound massive man. The Brewers signed Smith as an undrafted free agent in 2021 after undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2021 and shoulder surgery in 2019. He excelled in the minor leagues with a career record of 12-7 and a 2.73 ERA. Smith is a right-handed pitcher and has amassed 104 strikeouts in 85.2 innings in 26 appearances with Biloxi this year, including 16 starts with a 3.15 ERA.

Wake Forest also has a 1.06 ABV WHIP sparkling beer. In May, Smith was named the Brewers’ top pitcher of the month. After starting May in the bullpen, Smith made his final three appearances in the rotation in May, posting a 2.77 ERA as a starter in 13 innings. In all, Smith struck out 29 batters in 22 innings with a 2.84 ERA that month.

Luke Adams

Adams is the 15th overall prospect in the Brewers system and is creating a stellar season for the High-A affiliate of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Adams also has a great combination of on-base and power with speed. Adams was drafted in the 12th round in 2022 out of high school, and the 20-year-old is looking to have a massive year in 2024. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound third baseman is slashing .232/.448/.408 for an .856 OPS. His .448 on-base percentage is striking, as he has 77 walks and 83 strikeouts.

Adams was He was just named the Brewers’ Minor League Player of the Month for July. Adams hit five homeruns in July and had a 1.124 OPS for the month. He was also named the Midwest League Player of the Month.

Adams has a .232 average with 11 home runs and 15 doubles with 55 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He also added 28 stolen bases in the postseason with 30 stolen bases at Carolina in 2023. Brock Wilken, the Brewers’ sixth-round pick, could currently prevent a draft because he plays 3B in Biloxi and could need a little more time before being promoted to Nashville. Adams, however, seems ready to step up.

Jadhera Areinamo

Areinamo, the No. 21 prospect in the Brewers system, is having a mighty season in High-A Wisconsin. The 20-year-old isn’t a massive guy, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing in at 160 pounds. But Areinamo’s numbers are certainly massive. Areinamo is averaging .303/.353/.443 for the Rattlers, good for a .796 OPS. Areinamo plays second base and he hit nine homerunsHe had 66 RBIs and 60 runs scored and had an average of over .300 in 400 at-bats this season.

Areinamo certainly deserved a promotion, and it could come soon for the Maracay, Venezuela native. He had a balmy summer, including a .358/.435/.516 slash line that produced a .951 OPS in June.

Aaron’s Round

Around was a very good reliever for the High-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers this weekend. Rund is 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, and a 25-year-old undrafted player. This season, Rund is 4-2 with a 2.36 ERA. He has a WHIP of 1.14, has struck out 52 batters in 53.1 innings, and has seven walks and seven saves.

Other candidates who could be promoted: Mike Boeve (again), IF, Russell Smith, RP, Ben Fitzpatrick, P, Eric Bitonti 3B/SS, Manuel Rodriguez, P, Dikember Sanchez, P
