A bear hunter in Washburn County, Wisconsin, lost three dogs to wolves

On September 14, in the Washburn County town of Stinnett, Wisconsin, bear hunters lost three Plott tracking dogs to wolves who attacked and killed the dogs.
This incident is the 30th report of confirmed or probable cases of wolves killing livestock or pets in northwestern Douglas, Bayfield, Sawyer, Ashland, Burnett and Washburn counties. There have been 13 such incidents reported in Douglas County.
