In the north, anglers call the vegetation weeds or weeds. In the south, and increasingly across the bass belt, anglers generally refer to all weeds as “grass.” So, just for fun, let’s talk about “bass in the grass” chasing tactics.
For starters, show me a lake with grass and I’ll bet my favorite $25 crankbaits that it’s full of bass.
This is probably the case in almost all natural lakes in the northern region and is the main reason for the acute boost in bass fishing.
