Wisconsin’s Tanner Peterson describes himself as an outdoorsman and firefighter in a compact bio on his Instagram account, and now he can add that he’s the only known person in the state to have collected a gold scale.
Peterson, 22, from the southeastern Wisconsin town of Salem, was bowfishing with his older brother, Gunner, on the night of March 7 on a lake in Racine County. At approximately 11 p.m., Tanner fired an extremely infrequent 19-inch airy orange longbow.
“It was actually our first night on the water this year, so it was a pretty crazy experience for a first night,” Tanner told Outdoor News.
