A legislative bill that would end all harvesting of antlerless deer in Wisconsin’s northern forest zone for four years has passed both chambers of the state legislature and headed to Gov. Tony Evers’ desk on Tuesday, March 26.
Athletes across the North are waiting to see if Evers will sign the bill, veto it or take no action on the proposed legislation. If Evers takes no action, which could happen if the governor decides to remain neutral on the issue, the bill would still become law.
