Al Lindner: As the water levels rose, slow summer bass fishing became a real pleasure

For many anglers, August is one of those terrible times. Typical days are often characterized by a combination of heat and humidity. The elderly “dog days of summer” can certainly seem like the real deal for many species when water temperatures reach their peak.
However, fishing for largemouth bass can be downright amazing. In fact, from now on and throughout the fall, this is without a doubt my favorite time frame for bass.
