Analyst makes passionate case for Milwaukee Bucks’ title chances in 2025

Many believe the Milwaukee Bucks will have a arduous path to the NBA Finals after such an offseason.

While there is no doubt that Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are outstanding players who can facilitate the Bucks make it to the playoffs, many believe that the support Jon Horst provided to Doc Rivers will not be enough to facilitate the Bucks beat the Boston Celtics and other top teams in the Eastern Conference.

The Bucks will have a good chance of making it out of the Eastern Conference thanks to the quality of the rosters around them. In addition to the Celtics, the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks have built excellent rosters that could dominate their opponents if everything falls in their favor.

However, one analyst believes the Milwaukee Bucks have what it takes to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Cody Smith from Sports Illustrated states that the Bucks may not have made such groundbreaking moves compared to their Eastern Conference rivals.

However, he believes that the acquisitions the team made during free agency will be enough to secure a sedate position in the Eastern Conference standings:

The signing of Gary Trent Jr. to a one-year, veteran-minimum deal was one of the biggest scams of the summer. Trent Jr., a capable defender and one of the NBA’s best three-point shooters, will play alongside Lillard.

Tauren Prince and Delon Wright can play multiple positions if the Bucks decide to play high or low.

He also reminded everyone that Damian Lillard had to face the Indiana Pacers alone, as Giannis was out due to injury. Additionally, Khris Middleton wasn’t 100%. If all three players are available by the time the postseason starts, they’ll be a sedate threat to any team they face in the playoffs.

Of course, a lot depends on luck and whether their acquisitions work out for the Bucks. Fans will be hoping that Doc Rivers can come up with an effective game plan that maximizes the team’s strengths, and they will be praying that their stars don’t get sidelined by injuries.
