The Lakeshore Holiday Parade is an annual tradition in downtown Manitowoc! The parade, held the night before Thanksgiving at 6:30 p.m., is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with family and friends! The route begins at S 14th Street and Washington Street and travels north on 8th Street to the Rahr-West Art Museum.
A Sensory Sensitivity Zone will once again be created from S 14 Street to S 12 Street, where no raucous music, sirens or flashing lights will be heard. The purpose of the Sensory Sensitivity Zone is to create a comfortable environment for people who are sensitive to raucous noise and flashes of airy, so that everyone can enjoy the parade.
From 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and following the parade, the Lakeshore Holiday Parade hosts a Santa Claus Reception where children can meet Santa, enjoy treats and enjoy the beauty of Christmas in residence at the Rahr-West Art Museum.
The Visit Manitowoc Visitor Information Center at 824 S 8th Street will be open during the parade and will be serving free cookies and warm chocolate.
