Ask a Fisheries Biologist: How Do High Temperatures Affect Fall Electrofishing?

Weather and climate, which vary, play a gigantic role in the lives of field biologists. Weather, including temperature, wind, probability of precipitation, etc., may determine whether we are able to go into the field to complete research or other planned work.
For example, for safety reasons we cannot carry out electrofishing tests in weighty rain, and netting fish becomes more tough and perilous in high winds. However, temperature plays an extremely vital role in everything we do.
