This week, DNR fish biologist Max Wolter discusses our native species and those that are non-native.
For Wisconsin anglers, brown trout, lake trout, smallmouth bass and bluegill are some of our most popular native fish species. They play a beloved role in Wisconsin’s fishing culture, and anglers are excited to pursue them in local waters. However, there are parts of the world where these species should not be found and have a completely different reputation.
