The resort is directly connected via a spur on North Twin Lake to multiple well-groomed snowmobile trail systems. We are blessed by the Lake Superior Snowbelt and see more snow than most other Wisconsin locations. A massive 700-mile trail system gives you access to the breathtaking sights of 240,000 acres of public land, making it a top family snowmobiling resort in the Wisconsin (and the Midwest!).
The Conover Sno Buddies Trails (80+ miles) have mixed trail surfaces. Conover offers the perfect starting point for your snowmobiling adventure. To the north, you will meander towards Land O’Lakes, Wi and the U.P. of Michigan. To the east, you will find Phelps, the Nicolet National Forest and Iron River, Michigan. Head south and you will venture into Eagle River, Three Lakes and Sugar Camp. Westerly trails take you to Star Lake, Boulder Junction and Presque Isle. Your riding options are endless. This trail can be seen to the west of North Twin Lake above on the map. See Conover SnoBuddies website for more information.
The Phelps Snowmobile Trails (40+ miles) are maintained by the club in Phelps in the Chequamgon-Nicolet National Forest, including trails around North and South Twin Lakes and Lac Vieux Desert Lake on the Michigan border.
