The Milwaukee Brewers have won the NL Central four times over the last seven seasons. Milwaukee won the postseason almost every year during that span, but in one of them he won the MVP and Cy Young Award winner and eclipsed 90 wins four times. Just the powerhouse Atlanta Braves and addicted to money Los Angeles Dodgers they have won more games in the National League in the last five years. However, the leading network offering nationally televised games seems unaware of their success.
On Wednesday, ESPN released the Sunday Night Baseball schedule to start the season, with 13 of 14 games decided. Matchups include Dodgers, Braves, St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs, but not the Milwaukee Brewers, which angers many fans of the NL Central club.
Milwaukee Brewers fans annoyed by SNB schedule
According to ESPN PR:
ESPN presents the #SundayNightBaseball schedule for the start of the 2025 season.
SNB kicks off on March 30 with #BravesCountry vs. #Padres.
Notably absent from the 13 standalone primetime games released is the NL Central champion Milwaukee Brewers. Every other division champion from last season played at least one game, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, who made four appearances on Sunday Night Baseball. Meanwhile, Cardinals of St. Ludwik and the Chicago Cubs, who finished below the Brewers in last year’s league standings, will appear on Sunday Night Baseball.
ESPN’s lack of respect for the Milwaukee Brewers has angered fans, including those disloyal to Pat Murphy’s team. A group of MLB fans have come to the Brewers’ defense, slamming ESPN for its “brand” loyalty. Moreover, Milwaukee fans also clowned the media’s power to exclude a 90-win team in 2024.
Can we get an explanation as to why the team that won the second league title didn’t play a single match?

14 matches, 13 different teams. Embarrassing, but not the least bit surprising. #MLB https://t.co/mpP9g1oCbU

There are 2 NL Central teams on this schedule and neither of them are back-to-back league champions 😂 https://t.co/nMsv4PXvfR

The Brewers have been NL Central champions 3 times in the last 5 years and yet they have only played one Sunday Night Baseball game in that time 💀 does that make sense??? https://t.co/OjShWT43To

MLB wants smaller markets to thrive and have national exposure, but they aren’t given that opportunity when it comes to primetime scheduling https://t.co/7X1ayz6e0L

The NFL featured 14 different teams on Sunday Night Football through Week 8, with only 2 repeats.
There are only 13 different teams in the MLB through mid-August.
And they’re surprised the game isn’t growing 😂 https://t.co/WJpYmJ99Iv

Milwaukee Breweries ready for a gigantic year in 2025
Last year, with the departure of a superstar pitcher Corbin Burnesmany experts and fans have deemed the Milwaukee Brewers as a team that will take a step back in 2024. Instead, Milwaukee won 90 games for the second straight year behind monstrous offensive seasons from shortstop Willy Adames and catcher William Contreras. Rookie outfielder Jackson Chourio also had an outstanding year, which likely would have led to the NL Rookie of the Year win had it not been for the dominance of Pittsburgh Pirates righty Paul Skenes.
Despite losing Adames to the San Francisco Giants and superstar closer Devin Williams to the New York Yankees via trade, expectations remain high for the Brewers in 2025. Milwaukee will return from an injury to ace pitcher Brandon Woodruff, and fellow starter Nestor Cortes will be added in a deal with Williams.
