Former Wisconsin Badgers volleyball players CC Crawford and Sydney Hilley are currently members of the Indy Ignite team. This is the inaugural season of organization in the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF). Last week, in front of a sold-out crowd, Team Ignite won their first ever match. On Thursday, January 16, they advanced to 2-0 against the basketball star Caitlin Clark current.
Indy Ignite improved to 2-0 with a win over Grand Rapids Rise
The Ignite team improved to 2-0 on the season and won six consecutive sets, defeating Grand Rapids Rise on Thursday by a score of 25-18, 28-26, 25-16. Member Leketor-Meneh, the reigning PVF Player of the Week, had 17 kills, but Nina Cajic added 16 herself and Tealer Azhani 10.
Former Wisconsin Badgers volleyball players CC Crawford and Sydney Hilley also shined during Ignite’s second consecutive victory
Middle blocker CC Crawford finished the game with two kills, two aces and a block. After the victory, Crawford said: “We wanted to come out stronger. I feel like we did it behind the service line, considering our defense and how challenging we played. Setter Sydney Hilley finished the match with 44 assists, three kills and one block.

Caitlin Clark was in attendance
WNBA star Caitlin Clark sat in the front row. She plays for the Indiana Fever and has come to support the city’s professional volleyball team, which is making some noise early in its first season.
