Celebrate Irish holidays for ladies

“You simply can’t imagine an audience that wouldn’t like what they do,” says the Boston Globe in reference to Cherish the Ladies. This long-running, Grammy-nominated, Irish-American supergroup formed in New York in 1985 to celebrate the rise of extraordinary women in the male-dominated Irish music scene. Over the past three decades, they have toured the world, performed at the White House and the Olympics, and recorded 17 critically acclaimed albums, including the Emmy-winning special An Irish Homecoming, which aired on PBS.

Led by All-Ireland flute and whistle champion Joanie Madden, recognized by The Irish Voice as one of the 25 most influential Irish Americans of the last quarter of a century, these ladies create an evening featuring a spectacular blend of virtuoso instrumental talent, handsome vocals, captivating arrangements and stunning step dancing. Their continued success as one of the leading Celtic groups in the world is due to the bands ability to take the best of time-honored Irish music and dance and present it in a highly entertaining performance.
