  • 2 C boiling water
  • 1/2 C carrot diced
  • 2 C potatoes diced
  • 1/2 C celery diced
  • 1/4 C onion diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 C butter
  • 1/4 C flour
  • 2 C milk
  • 1 C Cheddar shredded
  • 1 C cooked ham diced
  • Add boiling water to the vegetables. Add salt and pepper.

  • Cook for 10 minutes or until cushioned. Remove from heat. DO NOT drain.

  • Melt the butter in a pot, then add the flour and milk. Mix until bulky.

  • Add vegetables and ham. Mix the cheese. DO NOT allow it to boil.

  • Simmer until ready to serve.
