Comment: Hunting coyotes is certainly not “easy”, even with today’s optics

I would like to rebut Dean Bortz’s comments in last issue’s State Roundup where he stated that “young hunters can have a lot of fun at night easily shooting coyotes with thermal and night vision optics.”
I have been calling and shooting coyotes at night for almost 50 years. I can say that “easy” is the last word to describe this practice, even with today’s advanced optics.
