Comment: Missouri shows other states, how to manage CWD in the long run

The Missouri Department of Protection has recently published the results of testing chronic devastating diseases in 2023–24, and the report contains good news and lesson for deer hunters in other states: if the disease is discovered early, busy management may maintain low infection indicators. This means productive deer populations and balanced hunter harvest in the long run.
Over the past 12 years, Missouri is fighting CWD, the disease has slowly spread to 39 known poviats, but none of them has a dissemination of over 3%. Compare this with the south -western Wisconsin, where the trends of dissemination in many areas of CWD are now growing to 20, 30s, 40s and higher infection indicators.
