Comment: One day in the field is not enough to train hunters in safety

I am a certified DNR hunter safety instructor and have been in the profession for about 15 years. I am writing about the Wisconsin DNR’s move to operate the virtual world for hunter safety training and online registration.
When it comes to Senate Bill 265 (mirroring Assembly Bill 270) and the push for an in-person field day for hunter safety students, the proposed bill does not go far enough.
