While fishing with Virgil, we rigged his purple 6-inch Texas-style worms with the hook embedded in the worm. Casting the bait into inviting shoreline cover, Virgil pulled in a 9-pound Florida largemouth.
“Throw it in there and catch his grandpa,” Virgil encouraged me, and with the same set of worms as he did, I made a perfect cast toward the downed blast. Within seconds I had caught a seven-pound hawg.
