If you’ve never gotten lost, you probably have a great sense of direction, an internal compass, or a very miniature leash. Or like Daniel Boone, you may have turned around once or twice, but you’ve never “lost.”
In some references to Boone’s oft-quoted remark, “turned” becomes “confused” or “confused” and “three days” becomes “a few weeks.” I suppose if you’re ever that confused, three days can seem like an eternity.
