Discussion of compensation for damage caused by wolves and the ability of societies to survive dominated the meeting in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Questions about the wolf damage fund, social capacity and population target were discussed tonight during a DNR public meeting on the topic in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
The DNR also held a public meeting in Ashland, with both meetings taking place after the September 27 Natural Resources Board (NRB) meeting, where NRB members expressed support for the DNR’s draft plan in their comments. The public meeting format does not allow for a wide-open discussion where participants could ask questions of panel members. During the public meeting, participants meet in person with DNR staff to ask questions.
