Dividing deer in the field, preference for landowner turkeys, will be debated at spring hearings in Wisconsin

Wisconsin hunters could quarter or cut out the bones of deer they catch and leave the inedible parts in the forest if a Department of Natural Resources (DNR) advisory question scheduled for the annual spring hearings on April 8 gained support and ultimately became change of rules.
The DNR received approval from the Natural Resources Board (NRB).
The meeting will be held on February 28 to ask five advisory questions about wildlife management during an in-person vote on Monday, April 8 or online from April 10-13.
