Anderson is coming off the first season of his career playing as a safety and nickel defender for his team.

Anderson stated that “It was a decision I made because I have all the tools to be a successful defensive back,” when asked about the position change. The defender had the full support of his coaches and feels he has a lot of potential to grow into this position.

For the defender, the transition to a modern position was natural due to his size and tools on the pitch. When asked about collegiate recruiting and potential in his modern position, Anderson responded:

“I think I started quite well, last season was my first year playing [Defensive Back] so I feel like I have a very high ceiling in the safety and nickel positions, so I’m very excited to continue working and see what other schools have to offer this summer.” – Nolan Anderson on his potential and experience in college recruiting.

Anderson also feels that the position change has opened up a whole modern world for him as a player due to the change in potential. The player feels more comfortable playing safely even with confined experience in that position and performs well on the pitch while still learning his position. Anderson also stated that with more “game reps” and “individual work,” he could quickly achieve success in the position.
