Giannis Antetokounmpo did not play for the Milwaukee Bucks against the Brooklyn Nets. This is his third straight game, having missed more than a week after winning the NBA Cup against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
He played in a lopsided loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers and showed his usual stats, but was missed in the second game of a back-to-back against the Washington Wizards.
He was eliminated once again in the winning game against the Chicago Bulls.
The Bucks listed him as questionable for Thursday’s game, but he was scratched off a few hours before the end.
Fans are both dissatisfied and confused by the development.
What kind of disease is this, bro, omg https://t.co/CxPUHtAGY6

Both Dame and Giannis did not play again. They haven’t played since the NBA Cup Finals
I didn’t watch any of the matches because I might have missed that one too

Others are disappointed because they won’t see their superstar perform.
That’s why ratings drop. Players resting when they should have been playing in the NBA in the 1980s and 1990s was phenomenal. The best players who have always been in the game were rising.

Doc Rivers explains Giannis Antetokounmpo’s continued absence
Greek Freak was previously unavailable due to back spasms but the reason for his absence against the Nets is different.
Rivers said the league’s current leading scorer is recovering from the injury, but that’s what happens now he is struggling with the diseasesomething he also didn’t identify.
“He was expected to play and then, whatever was going on, I guess it was his turn,” Rivers told Eric Nehm of The Athletic.
Rivers said “the pivot” because his co-star, Damian Lillard, was the first to get ailing.
Good news for the Bucks, the guys left are taking care of business well, led by Khris Middleton, who just returned from an ankle injury.
