Former Milwaukee Bucks champion reveals heartfelt message for Mike Budenholzer after ugly playoff loss to Brooklyn Nets

In 2021, many were pleased and surprised to see Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks make it deep into the playoffs and win a championship. It turns out that former NBA point guard Jeff Teague had a different mindset back then, which led to a direct message to then-coach Mike Budenholzer.

Teague was selected 19th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2009 NBA draft after a successful college career at Wake Forest. He spent the first seven seasons of his professional career there and established himself as a solid point guard.

After leaving the Hawks in 2016, Teague had tiny periods the Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics before signing with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021. With the Bucks, Teague eventually won an NBA championship, providing experienced leadership and playmaking off the bench.

Since retiring in 2021, Teague has transitioned into coaching, taking over as head coach at his alma mater, Pike High School in Indianapolis. He also served as a regional scout for the Hawks, using his extensive NBA experience to identify and develop adolescent talent.
