Gershwin! – 99. Season of Madison Symphony Orchestra

Madison Symphony Orchestra (MSO) closes its exhilarating 99th season with the performance “Gershwin!”, Leaded by the music director John Demain. The finale of the season begins with the Cuban Gershwin overture, pulsing with the Caribbean rhythms of dance music, in which he fell in love with Havana on vacation. Beloved pianist Philippe Bianconi returns after the seventh performance, performing Gershwin’s masterpiece in F. Maestro John Demain, he conducted over 400 Porgy and Bess Gershwina performances around the world. He led the production of history from the Houston Grand Opera, winning the Grammy Award, Tony Award and France Grand Prix de Disque for RCA recording. He takes Michelle Johnson, Eric Greene and our Madison Symphony choir to share his passion for this iconic work to finish the season!

“Gershwin!” The performances will take place on Friday, May 9 at 19:30, Saturday, May 10 at 19:30 and Sunday, May 11 at 14:30 at Overture Hall, 201 State Street.
